Dr. Tam attended Duke University for undergrad and then went on to do Teach for America in NYC, while also achieving her Masters in Education. Following this she attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine for medical school and stayed on for pediatric residency training. She then completed a hospital medicine fellowship at Children's National Medical Center in Washington DC, a top ten children's hospital.
